Whether you are in the mood for romance, happy hour or a good family meal Rustico’s Ristorante and Pizzeria will not fail to please you. As you walk in this quaint restaurant you will be greeted by the wonderful eager to please staff, the warm aromas of tomato and basil on the stove and I can bet you will see Francesco; chef and owner behind the counter ready to whip up an amazing Italian meal. Allow this family owned restaurant to whisk you away to Italy, awaken your taste buds and help you escape the chaos of life even for just an hour or two… you know we could all use it!
I’m no newbie to Rustico’s allure and charm. I have been eating here for quite some time so I can tell you that most everything on the menu is delicious. Cliche I know… but truly whether you grab a panini at lunch, a pizza on your way home or you dine in for salad and pasta you will be pleased. This is what made from scratch with the finest ingredients delivers. Although, this particular visit Francesco pointed out something new to me- their Tapa’s Menu. Since hubby and I were kid-less we decided a few drinks and an array of tasty tapas sounded delightful!!!
We devoured the Mediterranean Quesadilla (recommended by Francesco and definitely our fave), Tenderloin Sliders (sauteed mushrooms were just right), Bruschetta della Casa (I couldn’t get enough of the yummy tomatoes), Seared Scallops (the sauce and salad are delish) and the Seared Ahi (black pepper crusted and served with a yummy reduction). Yes we ate a lot… but it is so fun to try a bunch of small dishes and especially at the $3-$4.95 per plate price. You save even more if you are a Smart Card Member. But, wait I’m not done… we finished the night with their signature Rustico Chocolate Cake Sundae. Picture rich chocolate cake topped with vanilla ice cream, drenched in hot fudge and caramel and topped with whipped cream- PERFECTO!
